I built a new server, CentOS5.2 i386, installed DA, and moved sites over from an older server. Everything was working fine for about two days, and now none of the sites are working. I have these entries in /var/log/httpd/error_log

[Tue Dec 16 00:11:04 2008] [warn] Init: SSL server IP/port conflict: www.domain1.com:443 (/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/user1/httpd.conf:48) vs. www.domain2.com:443 (/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/user2/httpd.conf:48)

I get these about every 20 minutes in the log. Currently none of the sites are up, so im sure these logs are related.

Any ideas?

Warnings do not cause apache not to function.

hmm, ok. Where should I be looking then? httpd is running, firewall is not blocking these ports, yet I have no webpage. Was working before, and no changes have been made. I'm at a loss here.

Post your website so others can check.

Why do you think I'm starting a new thread???

The 'solution' to the first thread you posted... "I suggest you to email support[at]directadmin.com"

The second thread ended with not one bit of advice, just many users asking for help, all with similar problems. But I did not see any errors posted similar to mine.

Third thread, has to do with licensing for an ip change, which i did not do. I have a seperate license on this server. The sites moved over just fine. As I mentioned in my initial post, they were working fine and then suddenly stopped working.

Fourth thread, has to do with SSL, but ssl works with multiple sites on a shared IP. And again, my sites were ALREADY WORKING. This is a sudden outage that I'm trying to troubleshoot. Though I have similar errors. Again, if it was an ssl issue, surely it would have started since day one, not work for several days and then stop.

I did search the forums, and I did read each of the threads you linked before i posted this thread. Thank you, but I've read through those. This issue may have been mentioned many times in this forum, but many of those threads have ended with users hanging and no clear solution, including several of the ones you posted. Now mind you, i didn't go back reading threads from 2005, since i figured DA as well as the requisite services have updated many times over since then.

Still looking...

Andy was posting threads related to the warning you posted which of course may not have anything to do with your sites not working. He posted the answers to one of the issues but not the one about why your sites are not working because we cannot comment on that since you have NOT posted what your web site is.

We cannot possibly help you if you do not give us the web sites and ip addresses to check. Please read this (http://homepages.tesco.net/J.deBoynePollard/FGA/dont-obscure-your-dns-data.html)

Sorry, I hadn't seen scsi's earlier post about posting an example website.

An example site would be http://www.invalid-host.name

Yes, and now you've reminded me of something. I checked my settings at godaddy and the host summary ip's never changed. So I'm pretty sure that was my problem. God this is frustrating. So i'll wait out propogation.

But with regards to the errors that i posted.. is that just something that will show up in httpd/error_log ? Is that a legitimate issue that should be dealt with? Or is that possbly tied to my dns woes? I've never had this issue before, so that's why i ask.

Now you see why it is very important to give us real data and not fake data.

Fake data = fake answer.
