View Full Version : change DA to RHEL?

hi everyone,

does anyone know:

if i am currently running DA on redhat 9, and i decide to change to RHEL do i need to purchase another copy of DA or can i just install it on the new OS and it will reconise it???

I believe you just email support with your client id and license number telling them what changes to make to your license.

Correct, Just send us an email with the IP address of the older server, and include your client ID and license ID for verification. Just let us know which OS you want and we'll change your license accordingly. (sales@directadmin.com)

and does that mean we still install it the same way as per the install page?

Installation is the same, it just compiles and installs the software for RHEL rather than RHL :)

Chris...do you know if anyone has tested DA on White Box Linux 3.0 yet?

I dont... but i cant see why there would be any problems, i've installed it and it appears **identical** to redhat, to say the least :)
