Hi to all ,
Any suggetunes on how to upgrade exim 4.20 to 4.24
this can be the resone for why i cant get mail scanner to work properly .
Also any idea where is the exim base dir . not I need it for
eximscan configuration :
Enter the exim source directory, and apply the
patch file like this:
patch -p1 < /path/to/exiscan-acl-4.14-02.patch
P.s : jhon if you read this , after looking into the server if you remember the exim became open relay , i cant seem to look it eventhougt the exim.conf configured as user require autuntication .

pack the patch up (.zip / .tar / .tar.gz) and email it to chris@prowebuk.com, I will create a new package for exim 4.24 with and without the patch.. sometime today :)

Exim 4.31:

Exim 4.31 & Exiscan ACL Patch:

Installation is done with rpm - Uvh

Hey ,
I just checked the rpm's , its gives me the following error :
fail dependecies :
libdb-4.1.so is needed by da_exim-4.31-1
Any idea ,

Check you have db4 installed, if not you can grab it from:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=db4

ahh I can see the problem... The redhat/fedora db4 libraries are different..
Give me until tonight and ill get them compiled on RHL9 (should work 7.X/8 also) / Fedora / RHEL to make sure they are ok for everyone :)
The above certainly works on fedora and should work on RHEL (they db4 files are in the same location, and the same :))

I'm anxious to perform this upgrade. Any chance on getting that RH 8.0 rpm ready to go soon? :D

yep... just need to put all my rpms and rpm data on disk then rebuild them all for redhat and now rhel.... will try get them all (RHL7.3 - 9 | RHEL 3 es/as/ws | WBEL 3 | Fedora C1) done in the morning (few hours from now :))
