yum update suddenly shows 137 updates?

hi

i use yum to update every few days. i've just gone to update and usually don't see many updates but it's showing 137 new updates. i'm running centos 4.6 and i notice there's an update to centos 4.7, would that explain why there's such a huge amount of new updates including bind ssh kernel etc?

any advice appreciated

Yes, CentOS 4.7 was very recently released - which means that there were patches/fixes/updates to the software packages.

I believe that if you had to "yum update" or "yum upgrade" your system to version 4.7, there would be no problem...
