Hi dear admins/users
i want change chmod of files , in LxAdmin and Cpanel all Files chmoded to 644 , but in DirectAdmin are 444 , so
how i can set chmod 644 for all files (Uploaded By FTP or Unziped or Panel ) and will be Uploaded !?

No, they are not 444 :) (unless you have a tarball and extract it that has chmod 444 for its files)

Yeah , i'm extract tar.gz and files chmoded 444 . how I can set 644 for it ,?
my users using this method to extract files , i want , when my useres and me extract a tar.gz , files set to 644 ?!
can you help me?!

Hello,
Go into the DirectAdmin file manager, select the files you want, type 644 in the permissions box and click set permisisons.

Hi John ,
i know how i can chmod files to 644 and other. but i have many many files in .tar.gz files and i can't chmod files manualy.
why when i extract a tar.gz , files chmod 444 ?!?!?! , Please FIX .tar.gz UnCompressor & don't change permission of files to 444

Yeah, I got the same problem. I extract a tar.gz files and all default CHMOD are 444 for files and 555 for folders.
Anyone has any ideas?
I must be appreciated.
