Tranferring a current DA site to another host?

I'm a little "blonde" in this regard....:o

I have just bought a site and it is hosted by A company and i want to transfer the whole site over to another company or alteratively simply transfer the forums on that site over in full - can anyone help me????:confused::)

If the other host is also using DirectAdmin, then you simply make a backup, and then restore it at the new host.

If you're switching to a non-DirectAdmin-based host, then you need to download your site to your local system, and then upload it to the new system. Exactly what is entailed depends a lot on the details of your site, what it runs on, etc.
