Hi All,
So, I've recently been made aware of the whole "adult word filter" that appears to be turned on by default in DA. I've got a couple of questions regarding it's setup and config:
1) Is there any way to set DA's default setting for the adult key word filter to "off"? I'd like to default that setting to "off" for new users, and set all my current users to "off" as well. Anyone have any ideas on ways to do this?
2) How can this default list be changed? The /etc/virtual/[user]/filter file says not to edit it directly. So, where are these configs coming from and how can I edit the global settings that users receive? How can individual users alter their own lists? I realize they can add new entries under "SPAM filter", but what if they want to edit the default ones to ignore certain words?
Does anyone have any ideas on this subject?
Does anyone else think it's a bit presumptuous to block emails with a dirty word in the subject? What if you have rowdy friends or you're forwarding an email about George Carlin?
Thanks,

Andrew

each user can put a single email in blacklist, maybe that is what are you looking for... look in user level spam filters

I believe that raqdedicados is asking for the opposite; not to be able to block an individual email address, but to only allow a specific email.

It's not clear from the post whether the address shown represents a username address or a virtual address, but for the purpose of this question, it really doesn't matter.

Yes, it can be done through customizations to the exim.pl file.

But I don't see it as widely enough needed to become a feature. If anyone feels otherwise please post it as a feature request.

HI there .

Thanks for the reply.

Yes. our client basically wants

1- that some accounts could only receive mail from local users

Ex. John@domain.com could receive mail from frank@domain.com chris@domain.com but this account could not receive from anyone@outsidedomain.com

BUT

german@domain.com could receive and send normaly to anywhere

Could not receive could be that mails enter but been blocked or send it to spam folder

Our client was using plesk that has individual spam user settings in each emailuser but here i don't know how to do it

Thanks

Just because you don't want to receive email from someone doesn't make them a spammer. I wouldn't use spam settings for this in any event.

That said, DirectAdmin does offer individual blocklists and whitelists for SpamAssassin, though only on a domain basis, so you'd have to learn how to edit the SpamAssassin configuration manually.
