1) I want to know which version of FreeBSD Operating System do you recommend in order to install DirectAdmin? Is it still Beta version? 4.9/5.2.1?
Is DirectAdmin more stable than Cpanel? less buggy?
Note: I completely don't like DirectAdmin default skin and that will lose my new customer away. I will have to create my own own skin with professional looking and eyes catching. (something like cpanel default skin).

Hello,
The official "latest" version is 4.9, but 5.2 seems to be working for most people without any troubles. 5.2 is still labeled as beta.
I'll let others comment on comparison, as I would be a bit biased :)
There are other skins available for download from the Skins section of the forum:

I guess 4.X is more stable than 5 with DA at the moment, and the 5.X series of DA is still in beta... basically its a matter of choice i guess? - your probably better asking existenz or any of the other freebsd users on that...

If you consider CPanel stable, restore your system and try *any* other panel - that being said without a hint of sarcasm! To answer your question in one word, yes!

Its been there since the start and I think many of us feel the same.... theres plenty of custom skins available both free and at a small cost, if you're not interested in any of them, its easy enough to design your own, dont feel you can do that? - theres also plenty of people who will design a custom skin on this forum at a cost, im sure :)

We have converted many servers from 4.9 to 5.x. We have taken the risk with it being a pre-release. DA has never really been much of a issue and their are very little bugs that we can find.
The only issue I will present to anyone is that 4.9 is not that far from not being EOL'd. You really will need to format when you upgrade so...read a bit ask some questions and if you think you can do it try to get 5.x running. It will be better in the long run...
just my opinion...
