dovecot will not start

Hi

Dovecot has been failing randomly for the last month and all I have been doing is restarting the service but this time it will not restart

Starting Dovecot Imap: /bin/bash: line 1: 20239 Segmentation fault /usr/sbin/dovecot
[FAILED]


can anyone give me a pointer to where to start troubleshooting

Segmentation fault is usually caused by hardware issues like faultly memory.

You can try to reboot and see if it works. If not, recompile again before asking your provider to change the memory ;)
