Hi all.

I have a problem logging in to my Admin account on my server, and have tried everything possible i can think of, but still no luck.

Is there any way for me to recover the 'admin' account password ?

I have shell access, and root priviledges.

Thanks in advance.

logon to ssh as root

type:

passwd admin

and it will ask you to enter a new password for admin

Yea, thats the thing I do right after a fresh DA install...better to use own admin p/w right away than using the weird random generated password. ;)

You are just forgetting that isn't your DA, and thus you have no admin access in it. That just got your server closed down, nice move.

Niklas, we have no idea what your post to this thread means and to whom it refers.

The question was asked and the answer given. Is there a point to your reply?

I also have the same problem.
I change password with `passwd admin`, but I
still can't login into Directadmin.
Can somebody help with this problem. If needs, I can show information from logs.

I don't think the logs are going to help. You probably locked out your admin account trying the wrong password over and over again. Unlocking the admin account, and other accounts suspended for incorrect password, is covered several times on these forums.
