limit the number of simultaneous exim connections

Hi,

I am now facing a problem with my servers. Exim services are consuming most of the server resources. The server load is seems to be very high.

I found that there are many exim connections to the server. This is causing the heavy server. It would be really helpful if somebody could guide me how to limit the number of simultaneous exim connections in the server.

The problem i am facing is that, the number of simultaneous SMTP connections from my server. My server contains 800 plus domains. I need to find out a way by which the number of outgoing mails can be restricted.

The no:of out connections are to be limited to improve server performance.If some body could help me in changing the exim configurations, it would be much appriciated
