I would not use it.

Please keep paranoid the default setting.

Whilst it's a pain initially it does ensure things run as their own user.

Without it, we're reverting back to the old php/apache issues of everything running as the apache user.... which has potential for users to 'steal information' from other vhosts.

I have never had complaints of anyone in the paranoid mode so I would suggest keep how it is and just have the howto guide for people who wish to change.
