Backup before format

Hello,

I'm going to format my server and set it up from scratch. Do I have to take a full system backup before reinstalling my system, or will it do just to take an Admin Backup/Transfer.

I want everything to work the way it worked before. Any other things I should think of?

Safest: a full system backup
Next: Do an admin backup/transfer to a different system, then upload it and restore once you've rebuild your server from scratch.
