Newbie DNS & IP question

HI,

2 questions really.

Q1: in the reseller panel, the DNS option. It says choose 2 ip addresses then click create nameserver entrys for you cliets site.

problem. Only 1 ip address appears???


Q2: If my domain name is held and another registry and they give me the option to add namsevers do I just add the nameservers I create under the reseller panel and wait for the propagation to happen?

Hello,

A1: if you only have 1 IP, then you can select "virtual" when creating nameservers. It will use the 2 IPs for the 2 main namesrevers on the server.

A2: Yes. If you are creating your own nameserves, you must first register them at your registrar, then setup the DNS records for everything as well.
