New domain creation/modification tool for users. They can chose to enable/disable cgi, set the bandwidth max, as well as the disk usage max.

Other features include new template site creation where a reseller can create /home/resellername/domains/default and fill it with an index.html, as well as pictures and directories. The index.html will get tokenized with HOME DOMAIN USERNAME. We also provide a new template for new domains until the reseller creates that data. New resellers will get a copy of the template to that directory.

Users can now suspend one of their domains.

Custom httpd.conf feature now supports |?TOKEN=blah| tokens so users can specify a new Document root, users etc..

This one is important because without making the changes to your skins, spamassassin will not be enabled in any of the packages, thus preventing your users from using the SA interface.
This feature makes use of the new if-then-else scripting in the skins to hide the SA options in the User Panel and Reseller Panel whenever the User or Reseller doesn't have access to the SA options.

If I could take the time to explain my frustration. In most cases, when a skin update is made, not enough information is given to us. In order to make the necessary changes in our custom skins, we just need a little more information.

I have a REAL hard time trying to figure out wtf has been changed from version to version in my custom skin. All I need is a little more information.

I'm running Persephone for example, which, unfortunately, hasn't been updated since 1.22.2. Now it's my job to go through and add all the updated features.

Can we try to figure out a better system? As it is, I'm pretty much forced out of any additional end user system functionality, simple because it is so difficult to update the skin.

Yeah, unfortunately, those links just bascially say what has been done. Instead of instructions on how to update your current skin. And they are sometimes incomplete.

For example, I challenge you to try and implement just this one change into (for sake of argument) the Persephone skin ( http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1740 )

Let alone something as complex as the SpamAssassin integration..

I suppose the real problem is that I find the included skins (that are automatically updated with every new DA release) lacking to a large degree.

Is there like a "Idiot's Guide" someplace? Or can someone in simple terms explain to me how I get the updates and/or how to install the updates.

The Persephone skin isn't an official DA skin, and may include unsupported code.

You either like DirectAdmin enough to use it or you don't. If you like DA but find a few things missing from the skin you're certainly welcome to create your own skins.

The built-in skins are maintained automatically by DirectAdmin; whenever a new feature is implemented that requires a change to the skins, the skin updates are included automatically.

If you obtain unofficial skins from some other source and you install them, then you're responsible for getting the updates from whomever you received the skins.

If you make changes to the DA skins (by copying them and then installing them as new skins), or if you create new skins yourself, then you're responsible for any required updates, and that's why walo included the list of updates that affect skins.
Is there like a "Idiot's Guide" someplace?

A new popup has been added for a bandwidth breakdown of the bandwidth.tally file. A new page is required for this command.

This is a rather lengthy update. Upon update all packages and user configs are updated to default "ON". If you use an old skin without updating, when you save a package, it will default to OFF, hence it's important to make the changes. I didn't post the changes for each file, but the structure is exactly the same as the spamassassin option line, just above the insertion point. Copy the spamassin line, insert it just below itself, then make the changes to the variables as mentioned in the feature link.

After walo's marina skin stop working, I purchased radiance skin from CPSkins and it doesnt work properly as well, is anyone encountering this issue as well or just me?

Koh, we use skins that we once bought form CPSkins. No problem after updating to 1.29. But be aware that after buying a skin form CPSkin you have to do a lot of modifications because they almost never bring out an update. So after an update of DA, we copy and paste most code from the enhanced skin into our modified CPSkins.

I'm confused; that's what the enhanced skin has always looked like on every DA installation I've ever done, and I've done a bunch.

i replaced my files, i have no idea where to see my skin version.

so i cd into /usr/local/directadmin/data/skins/ and i read CHANGELOG

but the changelog last change made was sept 2006

is it because DA did not change the logs or is it because the upload is wrong?

? It should still work. Except in the filemanager, which never did because php is processed before the tables are generated because its chrooted.

But even if i insert these simple code:

It doesnt display anything... =(
So there is no any execution of php....

BTW...
In template_user_bottom.html php code already existing doesnt executing too... =(
So no any bars showed...

We've had no other reports... also the DA skins do your embedded php themselves, which still works.. something must be different with your setup.
Any errors in the /var/log/directadmin/error.log?

A sample skin page that uses it is:
/usr/local/directadmin/data/skins/enhanced/user/show_domain.html

so compare to that.. perhaps there are extra spaces in code code? I'm not too sure.

Also, test php manually, eg:

/usr/local/bin/php

and manually type in something like:[root@es4 ~]# /usr/local/bin/php
<?
echo "hi!\n";
?>to see if it outputs just "hi!" to the screen. (press ctrl-d once to close the file input, then again if it doesn't execute)

Thereis nothing in the var/log/directadmin/error.log
# tail /var/log/directadmin/error.log

And if i try to execute the code you wrote - there is nothing... Actually i cant understand how to use it =)
But if i create a file with code you wrote and try:
# php /home/user/test.php
Code is executing and 'hi' is displaying...

BTW, PHP is installed as CGI.
Symlink /usr/local/php5/bin/php -> /usr/local/bin/php exists...

Hmmm...
The trouble is that Zend Optimizer is used.
If i comment all strings in php.ini with Zend Optimizer libs - PHP is normally executing in skins...
And now dont know what to do...
I cant turn off Zend Optimizer - it needed by customers.
And php execution in skins is needed too... :(

Maybe it is possible to launch php witout php.ini loading? (Such as php -n).
This will get php working well in skins.

Today i have tried to make apache & php5 from ports (FreeBSD 7.0 64-bit) and still the same situation.
No output while execution of PHP in CLI mode with Zend Optimizer included in php.ini.
So, maybe there is exists some solution not to load php.ini while executing php in skins (as i understood same as CLI mode)?
