Just came onboard with DirectAdmin after spending months looking and playing with control panels (cPanel, H-Sphere, Plesk and Ensim). DirectAdmin is really a nice piece of software.

DA is installed on two of my servers and I have the following questions:

I just wanted to confirm about setting my own company hosting and DNS as
the owner of DirectAdmin and its admin. It appears that I need to setup
my company as a reseller. One thing I noticed when creating a reseller
package, I cannot give the package unlimited anything. I would think as the hosting company you could set unlimited domain creation etc.

Secondly, I assume I have to create a reseller account on my second server with its DNS as ns3.domain.com and
ns4.domain.com for everyone on the second server to use.

I think I understand everything else, but just wanted to get some
feedback/guidiance on setting up my company before launching off in the wrong direction.

Thanks!

Hello,

I've replied to your email version of this, but for anyone else reading:

There should be checkboxes beside all of the fields such taht when you check them, that value will be set to unlimited:
http://admin.site-helper.com/rpackages.html

You must create the reseller on the same server that you wish to use for that reseller's users. The dns servers must also be on that machine so that DirectAdmin can write the dns info used to resolve the domains.

I can see the check boxes just fine. The problem appears to be with using Mozilla with DirectAdmin. With Mozilla 1.4, you cannot check the checkboxes.

Yes, this is just a javascript bug. Should be fixed for the next release.

You betcha. If skins arn't updated, all that will happen is that they won't be Mozilla friendly. Functionality hasn't really changed (other than the *other* features that were added). I've created a thread in the skins section to keep skin makers updated.
