Strange file in my /tmp directory

Dear List,
I do have a Directadmin server running on Debian 3.1. With following modules on Apache 1.3
Mod_Security
Mod_Dosevasive.
Last Day, I had noticed that some strange files has appeared on my /tmp directory. For eg :"dos-62.42.109.192". There is number files like this. May I know whats the importance of this file,or how this file is created.

Please help.

The file is generated by Mod_Dosevasive. Once the IP has been detected for dos, it will ban it and lift it after a certain time.
