We would like to be able to block large emails on a user specific base, not domain wide like implemented now on the CMD_EMAIL_FILTER page.
It should be implemented in an as easy as possible way for the end user, maybe as a dropdown list next to the "Kb" field of the "Block all e-mail larger than:" line on the mail filter page, hitting the "Block" button should result for example in a filter that blocks email larger than 500Kb for user1@domain.com. Please note that this new filter shouldn't block emails larger then 500Kb sent to user2@domain.com. Having this on a seperate page is also an option of course.

I'm not sure why you posted this under Employment Opportunities. Is this something you're willing to pay to have done?

Ah sorry but I don't know if anyone else needs this kind of functionality, that's why I posted it here, the DirectAdmin crew themself only wants to implement this if there are more requests for this feature.

Thread moved to Feedback & Feature Requests; let's see if anyone else would like the feature.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. :) I'd like to see more done to allow the user of a virtual mail account to manage certain aspects of their account. For example, forwarding their account mail to another mail address, setting up filters for themselves, setting up vacation messages, changing their password, etc. Having a user control panel for virtual mail accounts would make life easier, I believe.

I think that's a completely different feature you're requesting there jlandes, I just wanted to be able to set limits on incoming emails on a per user base.

tristan, based on your thread-starter post, I think you're referring to logical email users for a domain, and not the domain user.
If that's so, then we'd need to have something on a per-virtual user basis, so we might as well ask for it all ;) .

Yes that's true but I wasn't asking for them to administer these settings as well, normally this would be a setting like all other email users settings like for example email quota.
If that's so, then we'd need to have something on a per-virtual user basis, so we might as well ask for it all ;) .
An extra "per-virtual user" setting like I'm requesting doesn't imply the same as a new "virtual user admin panel level" like jlandes is requesting. These are really two different kind of features I think.
