No. As of Feb 13th, 2004, there is no Fedora support. (added date because this thread might become inaccurate in a few months ;))

Is there a specific reason for it? Or it just doesn't work?

Because it has not been tested or verified as of yet. They will look at dependancies and various file systems changes. Most likly you will see a Beta test much like the FBSD 5.x series.

I'm also wondering on an ETA for Fedora Core 1, Core 2 is about to be released. There isn't too much of a difference betweeen FC1 and RH9, DA might even run without having to be re-compiled. Has anyone tried running the RedHat 9 DA on FC1?

It's a bit of an annoyance to have my standard build and my build for other CP's to all be standardized on FC1 except DA.

I just think they have not tested it so therefore it is not supported. You want to try I assume you could purchase a monthly license and see if it works. If Fedora works just keep in mind that currently they don't support it...

Hello,

We're going to be getting a few new build machines soon and we'll put Fedora on one of them. Assuming it's similar to RedHat 9.0, it shouldn't take too long (month or so).

Just as an update, DirectAdmin is running fine for me under Fedora Core 1.

The only problem I had was the DA exim binary was linked against 'modperl.so' in the Perl 5.6 directory. Since FC1 uses Perl 5.8 this file didn't exist. I made a link from the 5.8 modperl.so and it started up without any other issues.

The current fedora release might work as is on core 2... so we'll see if that works or not :)

What's the current status of the Core1 support ?

I'm about to set up a new bunch of servers which are going to be running DA.., and I need to know if I can hand out a DA + Fedora core 1 install to our customers, or if RH9 is still advised..
