This happened after i was trying to install DA on ETCH and it says my Client and License ID is not correct, SSH went away all of a sudden,i was so upset.
I had to call the ISP to reboot my server to fix this up. Does anybody ever had this problem too ?
by the way guys, Do i have to edit /etc/debian_release to install DA on ETCH ?
Thanks.

Yes, DA does not support 4.0 yet... they are still working on it... and I hope they will finish soon :D
for now change the 4.0 in /etc/debian_version to 3.1 and it should work.... It did for me ... with little things going on....

Here some info, similar problem with ETCH:

You dont need edit /etc/debian_release, if you install ETCH, its default 4.0. Da now beta with etch (look: http://www.directadmin.com/install.html ) Also if upgrade from sarge to etch, etch itself upgrade version too 4.0.
apt-get dist-upgrade
Also check that apt sources.list have stable or etch, not sarge !
