Annouce Only mailing list

Does anyone have an idiots guide to making an annouce only email list? I know there is a posting on here already but that was 3 years ago now and I'm guessing that both DA and MD have evolved since. The biggest problem I have is that the options in DA when configuring a list don't seem to use the same option names as those in the MD documentation.

I'm basically after a (secure) annouce only mailing list that anyone can subscribe to (although I don't mind adding them in manually if need be)

As you can see, Majordomo is considered mature and hasn't changed in years. While there is a Majordomo Version 2, it's never been developed and I don't know of anyone using it.

Nothing has changed in DirectAdmin which would change any previously given information on how to create an announce only mailing list. You didn't post a link to the post to which you refer so I cannot assure you it's correct.

I do know that we host an announce-only list da-announce@daserversolutions.com, set up on DirectAdmin, and it works properly.
