Hello, i was hoping someone can give me step by step instructions on how to install the comodo ssl cert. I have followed the instructions both on the comodo site, and the da ssl install manual. But the my browsers are still not recognizing the cert. I initially purchase the godaddy cert but got discouraged when i learned i needed to ssh into the server in order to install. I am hoping i do not have to do the same for comodo. Not sure what i am missing here. Any ideas would help.

Thank You

Are you installing the cert for a user or for a customer site, or as a serverwide cert?

In addition to the main cert Comodo issued you you'll have to install the comodo Intermediate Certificate (look here (https://support.comodo.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=264&nav=0,35)), according to step 4 of this page (http://www.site-helper.com/ssl.html).

hello, and thank you for the support, i have a question regarding this step...

First, copy the 'yourSERVERNAME.ca-bundle' file to the same directory as the certificate and key files. As a reminder, in this example we called the directory '/etc/ssl/crt/'.

where would i find the etc folder on my server, using fetch ftp? Do i have to create it?

I apologize if this a dumb question, but i am not too technical when it comes to servers, i had my brother do the initial work to the servers, but it is like pulling teeth when i try to get him to do stuff for me, especially when he is not getting paid for it.

thanks again

Then offer to pay him ;) .

You don't copy it to directories; you copy both certs in under the DA control panel for the domain.
