Hi

I am having problems with frontpage and direct admin I think

I am unable to publish from my site.com to my local hard drive - I get server timed out before it even starts a publish

also when I try to access the server admin via FrontPage I get a blank page at

/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadmcgi.exe

I have tried removing and re-adding the FrontPage extensions and recalculating hyperlinks - but to no avail

thanks in advance

Hello,

Make *sure* you use www.site.com because just site.com will *not* be recognized. Also, the fpadmcgi.exe is not setup by default.

Additionally, check your /var/log/httpd/fpexec_log, /var/log/httpd/error_log and /var/log/httpd/domains/domain.com.error.log for clues.

Hello,

Perhaps the logs will hold some helpful information.

Also, I'm not sure how to setup the fpadmcgi.exe, it would be something I'd have to look into. If it can be figured out, then I'll see about adding it for default FrontPage installs.

Thanks

John

I have passed your comments onto prowebspace.

Dont understand the stting up of fpadmcgi.exe - I simply use it from cpanel and my other hosts without having to do anything - would seem a bit silly not having it as I beleive that is how frontpage webs, subwebs and security are handled - but could be wrong

- seems a few extension features are missing.

cheers

I'll have a look to see what I can find about the fpadmcgi.exe.. if anyone knows something I don't, do tell :)
