How to acces subdomain if the domain has not resolved yet?

Can anyone tell me how to acces a subdomain using the IP adress - if the domain has not resolved yet? I know that I can acces my main directory using IP/~domain. How long does it usually take to resolve the domain?

IP/~domain/subdomain should do the trick. Once your domain resolves, all subdomains should work right away.
