welcome email

is there anyway we can setup directadmin to automatically send an email when we setup a client's account with all the info in it?

Hi Nick,

DirectAdmin automatically does this -- that's why an e-mail address is always required when creating an account.

You will notice a checkbox called "Send Email Notification" at the bottom of the account creation table. You can also click the "Edit User Message" link to change this welcome e-mail.

I would like to edit the default welcome message. I know that I can enter things into the box when adding a new user but I would like to modify the default template. Do you have any instructions on where the default file is located and how I can go about editing it?

Editing it is editing the template for that reseller.

That said, the location has been posted previously in these forums. Search is your friend :) .

After posting I did find where the file was and also fixed the other problem I was having with exim.
