SMTP Non Responsive

Hi,

I'm having exim 4.66 and though DA says exim is running, but SMTP is not responding and hence mails aren't being sent out from the server.

An external service scan shows :
SMTP - 25 Error: TimedOut

I've tried sending out mail through webmail system...but that fails.

Please suggest some solutions...needs to be resolved ASAP.

I presume you've tried restarting exim, but if you haven't, that's a good first step.

Also ...

Make sure you don't have a firewall running that's blocking port 25.

Check to see if your exim.conf file lists port 25 and/or port 587. Try port 587.

Updated to latest exim and dovecot...problem solved.
Seems exim.conf was broken.
