Total newb and Subdomains

I'm trying to set up a subdomain to host a forums area. I've tried following the directions, but am getting some errors. When trying to access the page, I get a 404 and a 403 error. My subdomain administration says there are "errors 10 100" and "usage log 10 100". The error says "Directory index forbidden by rule" and "File does not exist" then gives the file break down.

I am a total newb. Can someone please help with what all that means and how to fix it? Thanks!

You may not be following the directions exactly; most forums have no problems if the upload instructions are carefully followed.

However, the only folk who are going to be able to help you with problems you're having with your webhosting service is your webhosting company.

This forum is for webhosting companies who own/run the DirectAdmin control panel, but we have no idea how your hosting company has set up your site, so we can't help you :( .
