Public Viewing Pages? (noob question)

I have the permission set correctly on the html files but I cant seem to figure out the correct url to link to people so they can view the page. How might I go about doing this?

So in short: how do i find what my correct URL is so I can forward my domain name correctly? Thanks

depends on what u are running
eg if u have admin access u need to create a user for the website which can be found at http://yourip/~username and if dns is set it will be found at http://www.yourdomain.tld
