Is there could be any issues if i update DA from control panel itself ?
There should be no issues you don't have when letting it automatically upgrade. If normally automatic upgrades go well (which they should), manual upgrades won't be a problem either.

There are two ways to update, from cp itself (Licensing / Updates) or from server by running script. Which should be use. ?
What else i need in order to update to latest version.

I have update the DA to latest version.
but i am not able to start vm-pop3d service from DA CP. I did the same from server.
Why this happens and how to resolve it.
When i check the status from server it shows -
vm-pop3d dead but subsys lock.

Look in your /var/lock/subsys directory for the vmpop3d file.
Delete it.
Restart the process.

It seems to be working, but i in service monitor in between it shows Process is stopped. I am getting system message by mail.
A new message or response with subject:
The service 'vm-pop3d' on server india.drushti.net is currently down
On server in status still it shows.
/etc/init.d/vm-pop3d status
vm-pop3d dead but subsys locked.
wat could be the reason and how to resolve it.

Check xinetd (most linux versions) and or inetd (benerally bsd) to see if either is starting vm-pop3d.
