I'd love to be able to do this:
software-DA@domainname->software@domainname
software-MB@domainname->software@domainname
without setting an alias for every email.
Would it be possible to have a wildcard like this:
software-*@domainname->software@domainname
?

I think it's a nice feature as well to be added. Ofcourse domain aliases can be enabled using the custom httpd conf, but I don't know if that'll work for e-mail as well.
Just a simple 'alias' command which makes one domain completely alias another one.

Id like to see somethng like that made as default with all current domains also.
username#domainname->username@domainname
Not all email clients like the @ in the username and prefer the # alternative... Iknow another panel has this and basically symlinks the accounts mail spool to the @ account for the #.

A domain alias isn't quite the same as an alias for multiple email aliases at the same domain. But no, httpd is a different service, and aliasing httpd has nothing to do with aliasing email.
EDIT: I just read in another post that DA staff added this function recently:

This is easily done in Sendmail, and can be done with the exim.conf file (actually just about anything can be done with the exim.conf file) but I haven't studied the details yet.
Yes, I'd like to see a provision for this in DA as well.

ProHS,
Did you see my edit to my post, and did you follow the link?
I believe that DA may now do what we want.
