Hi Guys,
If I were interested in buying 20-25 lifetime licenses, what are the terms for reselling them? Would I have permission to sell a lifetime license to a client as a monthly license, or a yearly license and simply revoke their license when they cancel?
Lets just say I buy 25 lifetime licenses (bulk, internal = $1000). Can I sell them to clients and charge them a monthly fee of $20 or something? When the cancel or stop paying, can I disable the license and sell it to someone else? Is it possible to do this through the DA client area? Is it even allowed? If so, I'm sold ;).

If purchased internally:

Reselling Limitations
Partners may not sell DirectAdmin licenses by themselves. All licenses purchased at internal rates must be included in with new dedicated server sale.
If purchased as standard licenses:
http://www.directadmin.com/agreement.html
Resale of Licenses.
You may not resell DirectAdmin licenses. DirectAdmin may be purchased only through the DirectAdmin web site at: http://www.directadmin.com.
Exceptions to this limitation include dedicated server providers and/or resellers ("Partners") intending to include a DirectAdmin license with a new server sale. Partners agree to the conditions set forth in the Partner Agreement and understand that provisions in that agreement may overrule provisions in this agreement.
It is not permitted, however, to sell DirectAdmin licenses by themselves to existing customers unless that customer's account with the server provider is terminated and a new server sale (one with a DirectAdmin license) is completed.

Yes, according to those terms it is not permitted. However, seeing that there is an entire forum category dedicated to "Reselling DirectAdmin" it's safe to say that reselling licenses is available, though not advertised, or is on it's way. Either way, this category wouldn't be here if that wasn't the case.

I believe its on the way..... I will leave Mark John to confirm anything, although I can say its been discussed and an estimate date was given a while back :D no idea what the progression has been on the idea in full honesty.

At the moment licenses need to be resold with new dedicated servers only, and you may charge whatever you want for the license.
Complete, unrestricted reselling is coming soon, so sit tight. :) There are a lot of controls that need to be in place, thus the wait.
Thanks

Hello Mark,
Do you have any plan to do customization of panel for complete resell rights ? Like OEM verison ?

We haven't put much thought into branding, but it may be a possibility once the reseller system is completely finished. Much of DA is hardcoded and thus requires an extensive amount of change, so it's not a decision we can make quickly. So far the demand hasn't been great but this may change in the future.
