I updated apache to 2.2.3, which has worked fine. but all my domains show a page which just says 'It Worked' on it.

the main httpd.conf contains links to the users httpd.conf, and both files look ok to me.

one problem i think could be the cause is I frst did the install using the instructions from the apache website, which obviously doesnt take into account the way apache is installed with directadmin.

so when i do the update the proper way, could it be using any config settings from when i installed it previously?

yeah i didnt see no urgent need in upgrading it anyway. Plus I havent heard of no performance increase
Im actually regretting upgrading to apache 2.0.59 after see how much faster my cpanel server is with 1.37

good luck

well ive finally got it to work.

turns out i was pointing zend to /usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl
and not /usr/sbin/apachectl.

should i even have apachectl in that first location?

my linux knowledge is minimal!
