Imap not running

Hi guys,

Just got DA installed an hour or so ago and am testing everythng out.

When using squirell mail and trying to login i get the below erro

ERROR
Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost.
111 : Connection refused

I have looked in the process list and can se nothing running for imap and also a netstat shows nothing listening on port 111 although i though since squirell uses imap it would use port 143 which is the default imap port?

Any help is much appreciated

John emailed me as i was posting this and sorted it right away below was the problem


imapd was running , but "xinetd", the program it runs through wasn't.

What did you do to solve that?

I have my fresh server with DA installed and now noticed
