Cannot enable anonymous ftp?

What is the trick to enabling anonymous ftp on my site?
When I tried to do it I get "Error executing your request
Details
You are not allowed to enable anonymous ftp"

I can create an ftp account but that is not what I want to do.
On the ftp settings page it says:
Login: anonymous@mysiteblah.com

*well, darn it...godaddy accounts are shared IP...oh well, it's not worth the extra expense.

That means you are not allowed to enable anonymous ftp :)
Bug your Reseller/Host to let you have anonymous ftp.
