I have gone over it again and this is what I have done on the DNS settings:

carsunlimited.com. TXT "v=spf1 a mx ip4:12.191.44.244 ?all"

However, I still can't transfer the files to my web page It goes through ok but doesn't reach the web page.. I contacted newwebsite for support, and they said in regard to changing dns I would have to contact the registrar (they gave me a name which was incorrect). This registrar wrote back and gave me the correct registrar and I contacted him and all he said was that they purchase domains. So what do I do now?

I have purchased my domain from go daddy and hosted it there. It wasn't registered with new website. Pardon my ignorance but this is the first time I have done this.Thank you for your replies. I shall be leaving the forum
