Hi,

how can i share an ssl cert with users in DA eg. I will be using a generic domain name not the main server domain. eg. http://www.ssl-secure-server.co.uk so that as part of 'create a user' account I can give the user the ability to host secure pages under https://www.ssl-secure-server.co.uk/~username as part of there normal account features without needing to install their own ssl cert on their own domain.

I can see nowhere on the forum which gives a definitive 'how to' answer on how to do this.

Please help!

Neil

Hello,

When you install a certifiate as an Admin, it will automatically be used as the Shared Server Certificate/Key for the whole server. Once that's done, all sites using the shared server cert will ... use the shared server cert :)

Ok, but how do I install the cert as 'Admin'?. There seems to be no option in the 'Admin' panel there only seems to be options in 'User' panel.

The option is in the user panel while logged in as "admin."

Hello,

Yet, that might cause some confusion. The SSL screen in the User panel for a logged in Admin will automatically point to the servers shared certificate. Eventually we'll add a new SSL menu to the Admin section, which will clarify things a bit.
