SSH Hardening

I see that when DA installs it creates a user called admin that is given SSH access. It also allows direct root logins, are these absolutely necessary? I prefer to have it so only a wheel user can SU to root.

You can have whoever u want use ssh its not mandatory for any user or sshd to even be on the server but it is highly recommended incase of problems.

I was just making sure that DA did not require any particular SSH logins. Hsphere requires that each box be able to SSH in as root so wanted to avoid hosing things up like that.
