Uploaded pictures

i uploaded a few pictures through the file manager, and now when i click on them to view the .jpg, it just shows a written garbage. I have uploaded pictures before and they worked fine. Does it just take a while before they will be viewable, or am i probably screwing something up?

If a jpg file is showing up as text (garbly text), then it likely means that the mime-type is either not being sent to your browser correctly (check your /etc/mime.types) or your browser is not setup to read jpgs correctly.. It is also possible that the jpg is corrupted, but from my experince, normally you'd still get an image, just a garbled image (no text is displayed)

You can always go: File -> Save As
and then try viewing it from your local disk to see it it's garbled or if it's a mime type issue.
