View Full Version : Segmentation fault when creating account

Hello,

I have started experiencing this recently. Have about a dozen accounts on the server.
All was fine, before, now when I try to create an account it results in the error message:

"Program Error
Details
A segmentation fault has occured"

Any place I can look for any tracks or logs as to what's happening or is this a bug? OS - RH7.3

UPDATE:

I found this error message in /var/log/directadmin/error.log:

2003:12:15-22:32:20: Unable to copy /home/admin/domains/default to /home/john/domains/johndoe.com/public_html : <b>A
directory component in /home/john/domains/johndoe.com/public_html does not exist or is a dangling symbolic
link</b><br>
Unable to create the directory /home/john/domains/johndoe.com/public_html<br>

right after that

2003:12:15-22:32:20: *** Segmentation fault ***

Why is it unable to copy the directory I wonder?
Thank you for any input.

Hello,

Check the version your OS and compare it to the version you have in your license file. The Redhat version can be found in /etc/redhat-release.

If you need to change the license OS, just send an email to support@directadmin.com

The license file has a correct version, it's RedHat 7.3.

Hello,

Send your IP, root password, DA admin login and password.
I'll need to have a look if the OS is correct.

Hi everyone,

First check the /var/log/directadmin/error.log just to see what the segfault error is and then e-mail us. But we'll skip a few features and get a fix out for the next release.

These error's aren't consistent at all, so please e-mail us with the exact error and IP/rootpass if you can. Would help us figure it out faster.
