Webmail to slow [Archive] - DirectAdmin Forums

Hi,

Customers are complaining that webmail (uebimiau) is very slow and it takes over 10 minutes to deleet a few messages. There is nothing wrong with our connection because website's are fast, only webmail is slow.

Any idea?

Hello,

That's odd. How many email are in the inbox? Have you tried /squirrelmail to see if it makes any difference?

there are no messages in the inbox(or in other folders).
I tryed squirrel mail...and that was a littlebit faster...but...not as fast as I thought it should be

Hello,

If two completely different programs, which use completely different code, are experiencing similar slowness, that would either mean very high server load, or possibly a file locking problem... I'm just guessing and can't say for sure.
