Yes, he is. 0.9.5 has been released 5 months ago, but I'd better use APC (http://pecl.php.net/package/APC) instead of eAccelerator.

Currently using eAccelerator. Is there any performance gain or any other reasons to use APC instead?

APC has very good web-interface, it is actively developed and maybe it will be included in PHP 6 as the default cacher. eAccelerator isn't actively developed anymore (since 2006), eAccelerator needs to be rewritten because of its bugs, licence issues etc.

Yes, I've tried. In my opinion it's better than eAccelerator, but not APC.

however, I hate xcache and APC is not compatible with Zend Optimizer!
