Hi,
you need to fing the WS FTP option to show hidden files (or all files) to be able to see the .htaccess
I don't use wsftp so am not sure where it would be in the options though. There should be a mask or filter option where you need to add
-la
to show all files

Hello,
You can edit it through the Filemanager in DA, you'd just have to type it in manually. ex:
http://domain.com:2222/CMD_FILE_MANAGER/domains/domain.com/public_html/.htaccess?action=edit
