PureFTP -- Disconnect on Directory Listing

This is becoming more and more of an issue with one of my dedicated servers.

Such that logging in is no problem, but certain directories litterally disconnect the user upon requesting a directory listing.

I've had to manually restart the ProFTPD to get past this issue... sometimes forcing it to die...

Is anyone else having this issue, if so, have you overcome it... if so how?

If not,.... any suggestions?

Perhaps you could send us some login info to test out (and ip/root pass) to support@directadmin.com so we can see whats going on.. if anyone else has had this problem, by all means speak up :)

Please note, the password sent to you in that email also is the root password (with direct SSH2 access). I just didn't want that in the same corrospondance ;)

Is the server behind a firewall of any sort?

At the moment, no firewall.

PS, admin. In the email I stated it had direct root logon... it does not, but the admin is the same password (sorry)...
