Hi - i'm very new to all this - we are a web design company - just bought a dedicated linux box. Have been using shared vps' upto now.
Need a control panel that will allow us to setup users and vhosts easily.
Am looking at Direct Admin, but also want to have webmin & cpanel on the same server - is this possible - I will only be using one at a time.

Each are separate control panels... only one can be installed at a time.

I have heard of people running both DirectAdmin and webmin at the same time, however I do not recommend it and do not see the need since users (usually) can't access webmin.

Webmin's only real dependency is perl. I run it on all of my servers for my own benefit as it's got some useful tools and have never had issue or conflicts between it and DA.

You can use Webmin with DirectAdmin. Quite some time ago John (of DirectAdmin) wrote that they couldn't support DirectAdmin if Webmin was installed.
When I asked him why he explained that it made it too easy for people to break DA.
I believe he's backed off that stance, but we all highly recommend you don't touch anything with Webmin that's normally managed by DirectAdmin.
And you can expect that Webmin may not work with some programs because DA has made some changes it doesn't expect.
With those thoughts in mind, go ahead and use Webmin at your own risk.
As far as using C-Panel and DA on the same server?
Impossible, because DA and C-Panel expect different services, paths, etc., to be in different places, and for files to have different permission settings and ownerships.
