We've updated to DA 2.0 and we started
working with Squirrelmail because of it IMAP
features.

But what would be nice is that a E-mail user
on Squirrelmail can change his own password.

When I look at the squirrelmail webpage it is possible but they give several options.
http://www.squirrelmail.org/plugins_category.php?category_id=5

What is the best way to do that or can it be added in the DA package's?

Hello,

This has been suggested and we'll be looking into it.

I started working on that because I wanted it. SquirrelMail has a plug-in that allows users to change their password. It is not working properly with Redhat right now but I am sure that I might me able to get it to work in the next 24 hours or so. If I do I will post a how to and send the info over for possible future release.

Hello,

Email password files:
/etc/virtual/domain.com/passwd

needs user "mail" access to edit them (which apache won't have). Just a heads up :)

Would a Squirrelmail plugin like this work:

How about something like this (http://www.nobaloney.net/squirrelmail/src/login.php)?

Does that work for you? There's a thread on how to do it here (http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3892&highlight=squirrelmail+password).

That's what I have currently. Would just like to add forwards (wasn't that supposed to be included with the most recent version of DA?), auto-replies, and doing it all from within Squirrel... But I guess I'll have to wait some more time for that to come...
