It is very rare to find "retail" Lifetime Licenses (in which IP transfer is allowed) for less than $299. People who invest in such licenses are unlikely to find "no need" for DirectAdmin all of a sudden.

I have seen DA inclusion with VPS for as little as $6 per month. Perhaps you could run services within a VPS until you can afford a Lifetime DA license.
