I can not find how to block IP address. Am I just missing it or does it not exist at reseller on down?

A search here didn't reveal anything.

Thanks

you mean you wish to block omni-explorer.com
from crawling your site?

omni-explorer.com has no A record, but
www.omni-explorer.com = 216.40.249.17

if that was part of the question..

I have the list of IPs that they use, nicely giving them on their page. When I used a different WCP I had the option to block IP address, individually or blocks. I just do not see it, I didn't want to have to update every robots.txt file......

Are you trying to block these IP addresses from apache only, or the entire server?

Just my little reseller section.

I've moved the thread to Reseller-Level Difficulties.

My bet is you'll have to update the robots.txt file.

Thanks for moving.

I did adjust her robots.txt, plus Omni Explorer finally got back to me.

That needs to be added, the ability to block IP address, to at last the reseller level, with the reseller able to give the end user the option to have it.

If it is an option at admin level let me know so I can pester my host.

It's not built into DA but any competent linux/unix administrator should be able to use the firewall to block IP#s and/or networks, either system wide or to specific IP#s.

However not for only certain domains on shared IP#s.
