Hi,

I have a problem :(.

How do I change a user's subdomain? Some of my users request for a change of subdomain and I have no idea how to.

I currently delete their account and remake it.

Is there any other way to enable changing of subdomain easily for a reseller  ?

Regards

I currently delete their account and remake it.

Are you adding these subdomains as a root domain (example.com), or are you doing it through the Subdomain management page available on the user level?

If the first, you can probably do it through the domain administration page, although I've never tried it with a subdomain. If it's the later however, you'll need to backup any data for that subdomain, delete it, and create a new one.

Thanks for replying.

I'm trying to change it as in..

test.webhost.net
to
newsubdomain.webhost.net

I'm trying to do it from the Reseller panel.

I'm trying to EDIT a domain. I do not wish to delete a the old one and making a new one.

Is there any way we can suggest a feature?

If you added the domain as the primary domain (1st level) for the user account you can do it this way.
Login to User Level -> Domain Administration -> Change a Domain

Hi,

I think you misunderstood me.

My domains are second-level. I made second-level domains for them.

I need to rename their second-level domain without losing ANY data or having me or them to backup their website.

if you delete the domain, the dir with the files wil stay, and you should change the name and make an new domain

after a look @ my direct admin,
if you delete the domain you can chose to delete the directory contents, if you do not check the box, the directory will stay and you should only rename it ;)

I'll try the suggested way and give a reply.

Thanks.
