Wordpress Installation problems

I am currently hosting 2 different blogs on my site. I installed Wordpress in the first site, and am trying to use Wordpress for the second site. However it isn't letting me create a new db, or use the login info from the installation of wordpress. How can I use Wordpress on both sites?

What is the error message you receive when you try to create a second database?

Are both sites on the same user account? Most hosting companies limit their reseller accounts to one mysql database per user account.

If that's the problem, and if Wordpress won't allow you to use multiple installations with one database by using prefixes, then you'll have to work with your provider to get another database.
