IMac & Email

Have any of you guys worked with the various Imac computers out there? I noticed on a number of them they will not allow you to enter the entire email address in as the username. Last one I tried ran OS 9.1x and choked on it. How do you deal with that? Or do you just say "you can't use an IMac"?

Firstly I would upgrade to OSX which will solve this problem.

If you can't upgrade then you can enter the full email address by substituting the @ sign with a % sign.
